Monument to Stevan Sremac and Kalča

The monument to famous Serbian writer Stevan Sremac (1855-1906) and a character from his book “Ivkova Slava” called Kalča is situated at the beginning of Kazandžijsko sokače quarter. The writer Stevan Sreman was living in Niš from 1879. to 1892. and left his mark in town’s history and culture. Bronze monument that embodies Sremac and Kalča, hunter from Niš, with his dog was sculptured by Serbian master Ivan Felker.
