EXIT Festival, Novi Sad

The most famous trademark of Novi Sad, one of Top 10 World’s Festivals, that unites lovers of electronic, pop, rock, metal, reggae and Latino music between walls of Petrovaradin Fortress. Various scenes for 4 days are the venue of non-stop fun.

The festival was founded in 2000 and was held in the University Park under the slogan of the student movement for freedom and democracy. After the events of 2001 and the democratic changes in Serbia’s political festival moved to the Petrovaradin Fortress, where it now takes place every July. The main aspect of the EXIT remains to be social responsibility of citizens. During its existence, the festival was visited by over 3 million people from 60 countries. The festival acquired the attention of the world media, and in 2014, EXIT has received the award “Best European Festival”. For 15 years, the Festival is constantly included in the list of “Top 10 festivals in the world.”

Venue Festival EXIT – Petrovaradin Fortress is located on the right bank of the Danube. Unique position creates a special atmosphere at the festival, as the Petrovaradin is one of the largest and most beautiful fortifications of the Middle Ages in Europe. Excellent acoustics and the area will allow building a lot of the scenes next to each other, and at the same time the sound is not mixed. The main stage of the festival, literally known as the Main Stage is located in the heart of the Fortress and can accommodate up to 35 thousand. Dance Arena, which is considered one of the best dance floors in the world, is located in the trench between the city walls and houses 25 thousand fans of electronic music. It is also worth mentioning such scenes as the Explosive Stage, where they play metal and punk, Fusion Stage of rock, pop and alternative sounds. In addition, there are also No Sleep Novi Sad Stage, Positive Vibration Reggae Stage, Gaia Experiment Trance Stage, Latino Stage, Urban Bug Stage, AS FM Stage, Future Shock Stage, Silent Disco, Karaoke Stage and others.

Hotel Vojvodina 3*, Novi Sad

Hotel Vojvodina is the oldest hotel in Novi Sad built in 1854 and located in the very center of the city. During its history that is more than 150 years long the hotel has always been the shelter of cultural and political life of the city. The original name of the hotel was “At Queen’s Elisabeth” called after wife of the Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria but afterwards it changed the name 2 more times. The second name was “Queen Maria” after the wife of Yugoslavian King Aleksandar Karađorđević. The modern name was received in 1945 after World War the Seconds. Although electricity in the city was installed only in 1910, hotel had it since 1899. Since it was built the hotel hasn’t changed its original look.
