Belgrade Panoramic City Tour

Belgrade Panoramic City Tour

Belgrade is the perfect city for walking tours! However, if you wish to explore incredible sights all over the city and rest your feet for several hours, the best option would be the Belgrade Panoramic City Tour. Our licensed guides will gladly share amusing stories, elevating your trip from an informational to an immersive experience. For your convenience, we will pick you up from an agreed location (the city center, your hotel, etc.)

Belgrade Fortress

You will feel the beating heart of Belgrade right beneath your feet once you reach the vivid center of the city and the remarkable Belgrade fortress consisting of layers from different epochs. A relaxing walk from Kalemegdan Park to the Victor monument will be the cherry on the top – an unforgettable view over the city and Sava and Danube confluence.

New Belgrade and Zemun

We continue our drive through New Belgrade, a part of the city built in the communist era. You will be passing by the Palace of Serbia, its construction and facade reflecting the aspiration for architectural grandiose in the second part of the 20th century.
Charming quarters, cobblestone streets, and fish restaurants are the sign that we are in Zemun, the part of the city settled on the Danube river banks. Its unique spirit is visible every step of the way.
We’ll make a short coffee break before heading further with the tour.
Passing by the most important examples of prolific architectural styles of Zemun, we will get off the vehicle and stroll down the famous promenade by the Danube. We’ll climb the Gardos Hill – the heart of Old Zemun. Its curvy cobblestone streets and tiny houses will give you the impression that Zemun is a melting pot of Mediterranean and Middle European cultures. Just in time for a lunch break, we will go down the Gardos Hill to the town center and reach the Main City Square, where the old buildings, including the Bishop’s Office and the Roman Catholic Church of the Blessed Virgin from the 18th century, surround the square. On the way to Avala, we will drive through New Belgrade.
The Genex tower, standing tall among the chess-like grid of New Belgrade blocks, is the perfect example of brutalist architecture of the communistic era. Proceed towards the Belgrade Arena and Congress Hall Sava Center.

Dedinje neighbourhood and Avala Tower

The next part of the tour involves the elite district of Dedinje with edifices of exceptionally high architectural value. Driving from Dedinje, you will glance at the stadiums of FC Red Star, once The European Champions League winner.
After a visit to the spectacular monument to the Unknown Hero of WWI, the work of the most significant sculptor of Yugoslavia, we’ll climb the Avala Tower. Two elevators take us up to 123m. Try to absorb the magnificent view of the Central Serbian province of Šumadija and the entire Belgrade with the river confluence, where the heart of the capital lies.
Have a short break, and get back into the vehicle – we are heading back to Belgrade downtown.

Saint Sava Temple and City Centre

After a short ride, you will hop off on the top of the hill of Vračar, crowned with Saint Sava Temple. This symbol of Belgrade, with its white and gold exterior beautifully dazzling in the sunlight, has a prominent place in the Belgrade skyline, reflecting the strong faith of the Serbian nation. The plateau is the home of the Serbian National Library, guarded by the monument dedicated to Karađorđe, the leader of the First Serbian Uprising against the Ottoman Empire.
Following the route of this comprehensive tour, you will reach the Slavija square, where, just about a century ago, ducks were hunted. Close to it, you will see the remains of the Serbian General Staff building, destroyed during the NATO bombing in 1999. A drive through this hilly part of Belgrade gives you a chance to enjoy exquisite neighbourhoods and eclectic combinations of architectural styles, reflecting the 23-century-long history of Belgrade.
Approaching the nucleus of Belgrade, you’ll pass through an administrative triangle formed by the imposing seat of the Serbian National Parliament, as well as the Old and New Palaces as residencies of the City Parliament and the President. After theatrical Terazije square with its remarkable hotel Moskva, we will shortly pass the Republic square, the most central point of Belgrade.
