Hotel Moskva

The tour starts at 10:00 am at the Republic Square, Belgrade’s meeting place, below the Big Clock. After several meters you will get to Terazije Square mostly famous for extraordinary image of Hotel Moskva, one of the oldest hotels of the capital. Find out what Albert Einstein did in his room and what tactics secret organization “Black Hand” developed here. Proceed via Balkanska Street famous as local crafts street, oldest witness of Belgrade’s growth, to Prince Miloš Street.

Knez Miloš Street

This street is the place of notorious and tragic events: unrighteous NATO bombing of Serbia and ruins of General Staff Building, site of assassination of PM Zoran Đinđić. At Financial Park nearby Serbian Government you will see the monument to Gavrilo Princip, notorious person for the western world and Serbian hero.

Pioneers’ Park

Pass by former Hotel London and via King Milan Street get to Serbian Presidency located at Andrićev Venac called after to Nobel Prize winner Ivo Andrić. Find out how this respected author is linked to Adolf Hitler and proceed to Pioneers’ Park famous for Old Palace edifice, former residence of Obrenović royal dynasty and find out the bloody story behind its walls. Another important building in the vicinity is the house of Duško Popov, Serbian double agent and inspiration for world-famous book and film character James Bond.

Tašmajdan

Upon this you will proceed towards St. Mark’s Church passing by Air Serbia headquarters, descendant of Yugoslav Air Transport Company or JAT for short. Learn about Yugoslav stewardess Vesna Vulović who survived the highest fall without a parachute by Guinness world record  and proceed to mysterious Tašmajdan Park: this location used to be a quarry, graveyard, Nazi headquarter, symbol of sacrifice and freedom. Return to Nikola Pašić Square and learn the story of this outstanding political figure, Great War era and liberation of Serbia from the Ottoman Empire keeping in from of your eyes Serbian Parliament as the best monument to Serbian democracy.
